Diyeh calculator

Each year's full diyeh is set officially, injury diyeh is a percentage of it, and death in a sacred month adds one third. Pick the year, percent, and month to see the exact amount.

How is it calculated?

  1. ۱

The full diyah rate comes from the judiciary's yearly circular — for 1405: 2.1 billion toman in ordinary months and 2.8 billion in sacred months.

  2. ۲

The statutory fraction of the injury is applied from the Diyat book; e.g. one hand is half (Art. 635), each finger one tenth (Art. 641), and a bone-exposing wound five percent (Art. 709).

  3. ۳

For a death in a sacred month one third is added (Art. 555); for a female victim, Articles 550/560 apply and the Bodily Harm Compensation Fund difference is shown.

Sources: the judiciary's 1405 diyah circular (Art. 549 IPC); the Diyat book of the Islamic Penal Code (1392). Sixteen years of rates are on record in Dadyar.
