How is it calculated?

The registered dowry is multiplied by the Central Bank annual index ratio: the index of the year before the claim divided by the index of the marriage year.

The annual index table is issued to the judiciary by the Central Bank each year; the complete 1315–1404 series is on record in Dadyar.

The result is the basis for a registry writ or a dowry claim; coin dowries are outside this formula and follow the coin's day price.
